The final positions in the 2017/18 Saints City Trust Prediction League, as at 27 May, see a number of changes since the previous 8 April update. Again, as with the last 2 seasons’ competitions, the F.A. Cup and Champions League has resulted in several ups and downs in the final 7 weeks of the competition. Alan Brittain, Iona Hilliard, Greg Needorf and Nick Scott all made up a lot of ground in the last few weeks but it was Karina Hames, who held on to the top position with Vince Duffy, rising 5 places to secure the runners up spot.
On Saturday 21 April, supporters of St Albans City Football Club will undertake a walk covering the heritage of the club by visiting various sites in the city. The walk has been organised by the Supporters Trust. Chairman Ian Rogers said, “ The walk will cover a brief history of the club covering various sites of interest. It will also mean that a number of supporters will walk to our home match with Hampton & Richmond Borough, rather than driving, thus achieving one of the objectives of Sustainable St Albans Week".
The updated positions in the Saints City Trust Prediction League, as at 8 April, are as follows and it's all change, once again. Karina Hames moves up 7 places to claim top spot but it is Lindsey McLeod who rockets 30 places up to 2nd position. There are other significant gains for John Sanderson, Greg Needorf, Junko Edwards and Tom Norman. Going in the other direction are Sue Sylvester, John Knock, John Feneley and Richard Stanwell. We are now at the business end now and it is still very close. Not long to go .............................
